PARTNERING WITH PARENTS
As parents, you are the primary discipler of your children. It is our goal to partner with you and help equip you with resources to grow your children in their relationship with Jesus as well as enable you to engage in the mission of our ministry to them. We invite you to dive deeper within the Fuse and Impact ministries as well as within specific communities designed for parents here at Westover.

CONNECT WITH OTHER PARENTS @ WESTOVER
FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP SEMINAR
FEB 18, 2023 | 9AM-12PM | WESTOVER THEATER
Westover is hosting a parents seminar in the Westover Theater and Kids Care will be provided. You'll hear from Ben Evans about the biblical basis for Family Discipleship. Then Jen Schmidt, Tracey Allred, and Brock and Jennifer Frady will discuss the “how” as they share how discipleship has looked for their families. Each of these families are in a different season of parenting, and we will get to hear from their experiences–what has worked for them (and how they figured it out) along with the challenges of discipling littles all the way up through high school. Registration is open through February 10th.
PARENT LIFE COMMUNITY
SUNDAYS AT 10:30AM | W201
We strive to connect our parents in community with other parents in order to build up families rooted in the Gospel. Our group meets each Sunday morning at 10:30 in room W201 (which is right behind the gym/activity center). We typically have a speaker each week, but our teaching series are designed to be interactive (not just listening to a message). Our teaching topics include (but are not limited to) parenting, marriage, finances, spiritual gifts, prayer, as examples. We also have a time for prayer requests each week. We typically wrap up between 11:30-11:45.
We typically plan multiple social events throughout the year (some just for the ladies, some just for the guys, and some for families). Events we have done in the past include our annual mini golf event for parents, crafts night(s) for the ladies, sporting event viewing parties for the guys, Science Center and NC Zoo outings for families, among others. We can also help get parents connected in a small group, as well.
